A Oregon Road Trip

Last week my wife and I escaped COVID-19 jail. We figured a road trip would be safe.
Our destinations were Shaniko, Oregon. A almost but not quite ghost town. Population 39 at last count.
Then Smith Rock Park. In the 80's it was a international rock climbing destination. Since then several
groomed hiking trails have been added. Then it was off to The Painted Hills. One of the Seven Wonders Of Oregon. I read where the best time to view the hills is after it has rained. Well there wasn't a cloud in the sky when we were there. But the hills did not disappoint all the same.

Very picturesque. It's obvious why they were named the Painted Hills. Nice shots - I especially liked the panoramas. Thanks so much for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed. I have lived in Oregon all of my life (lots of years) and this is the first time I have been there. One more thing off my bucket list.

I’m itching to get out and make pictures. Seems forever that we have been infer Stay In Place orders.

Thank you. It was so nice to get out. I had a great couple of days.
Yesterday I watched the NASCAR race at the Indianapolis Speedway. Beautiful racetrack. Hope to get there one day.
