Anyone with a zoom or a couple of prime lenses can look at a scene with a longer lens, then look at it with a shorter lens (from the same position) and see how everything is shrunken in size and looks farther away as you go from a long to a short lens. It's common sense, not rocket science. Posting pictures proves nothing!
