LR magnifying glass issue

I’ve clearly hit a wrong button somewhere and now there’s a minus in my magnifying glass. I’ve clicked on the 1:1 to no avail And when I go back to my image it jumps to tiny until I click again. I googled and chatted with Adobe. Adobe suggested going into a previous catalogue but I’m nervous about losing chances I’ve made.

Screen shot?

To my knowledge, Lightroom does not have a "magnifying glass". Windows does. Lightroom does have magnification, but not a "glass" shaped device.

As a suggestion you could try Z or repeat Ctrl + - until you get back to the "Fit" option.

Ctrl-0 (zero) generally gets windows zoom back to default

In Lightroom, Ctrl+ 0 opens/closes the Histogram panel. But there may well be an Lr equivalent for resetting to default.

Just something to try :

Library module and grid view

Press spacebar (Fit)

Press spacebar ( 4th option )

Press spacebar ( back to Fit)

G for gridview.

Have the + sign ?

Actually, it does - in the Develop module, if you hover the cursor over a full-sized photo, it becomes a magnifying glass with a "+" sign in its center. Clicking the left mouse then causes the image to zoom to the selected magnification level.

Thank you DWU2! I was looking for something about the size of a quarter. Maybe similar to the Windows key followed by the "+" key but built in to Lightroom Classic. I took a closer look and there is a tiny magnifying glass in the Develop module. I even use it a lot without realizing its shape! But, it is a little magnifiing glass!
