I took my rarely used 28-300 on my walk today to see how well it performs, basically because of a recent thread in which folks commented on how much they either hated or loved it. While it definitely isn't in the same league as a fast prime or even my favorite Tamron 35-150 lens, it did a capable job, and on a scale of 1-10 I'd rate it as 8ish.

A very productive walk. Well done.

Nice set Sue, Isn’t it nice to post Ohio images recently taken with no snow?

Are you kidding?!? We had a total of less than 6" of the stuff this year - nothing but grey skies and rain, rain, rain ... Of course, you get the "lake effect" weather up your way!

I stopped in at YM yesterday and got my first Z lens, the 85mm 1.8, with plans for it in the coming days. It's amazing how lightweight the camera/lens combo is without the adapter and regular lens! Also, Robbie told me that they're hoping to restart the coffee and cameras get togethers in July.

Thanks for liking these shots!

If everything goes OK I hope to be there. Will see how this pandemic plays out. Most social gatherings are now open but with restrictions. We have a one year old granddaughter that we watch during the day and four friends that had dates with the ventilator. But can’t wait to do more shooting, hopefully soon. Be safe and Best wishes Sue.
