Back in 2014 I paid about $150 for the printer plus a a pack of 13x19" paper, after a double rebate from the dealer and Canon. A similar deal would pop up each year in January(?). I keep an eye open for the sale in case the printer dies when I have a lot of ink. I did not see any similar sale this last winter.
However - my print quality remains high despite the 3rd party inks I have been feeding it for at least two years. I highly recommend the printer for being trouble free and doing a superb job.
