I am glad to hear that your are enjoying your introduction to Affinity. Although it is not the program I use, I have heard many good things about it and wish you much success in mastering it and using it to achieve your goals for the images you record. As to putting your "signature" on the photo, Affinity may have a special tool for that. If Affinity has a way to add layers to a photo, you could create a file that is your signature and superimpose that file as a layer on the photo. this is how I do it in Luminar. Perhaps is will work for you. Good luck!

Thanks Adam I thought about that, however as a film shooter I don't think in layers as yet.

I did back in 02 use Photo Shop to repair my Dads Slides & negatives he took back as far as 52.
Repair & post processing big difference, I'm moving real slow. So far even an ole guy like me I can
learn new tricks as long as you speak slowly LOL.

Marturo: Join the club! I am 77 and still learning, and I don't want to stop. I found out about layering in the instructional video with my Luminar 2018 program. Check Affinity and see if they have an instructional video or have a layering function in the editing section. It Affinity has a "Professional" selection of filters, processes, etc., then you could use that to put your signature on your photos. If you have questions, contact me and I will tell you what I do with Luminar. Hopefully, Affinity will have a similar feature. Good luck!!

Thanks Adam I have tried a top layer so far, & it seems to work so far.

I never thought about a filter that makes good sense, I have begun
looking into the Videos at this time.

As I watch the Affinity videos it seems as if the processers go by sense
of sight. Make a few corrections & make sure it looks right.

It's all great fun for me & I just love learning new things.
That's what life's all about .

Marturo: I am really glad for you that you have found success with layers!D Let me know how it progresses. You can reach me privately at adamsgc@yahoo.com and we can share experiences of older fellows who shot film and are learning new things. My photographic project that is not digital or digitizing my good film shots is digitizing old photographic prints of pictures taken by my mother's family in pre-World War I China. they are deteriorating and I want to save them for my daughter, and for myself.

Man I know what you are facing with restoration it's tough.
Having said that, I saw a master just remove things from a photo
that made my jaw drop. That was Affinity I had some experience
back in 02 with Photo Shop repairing our Photos & Negatives.

We were posted in places like Panama & many more wet countries
& fungus was rampant. I remember how long it took to replace ( Clone)
parts of the photo.

After I dipped my toe I ran right back to film & did not emerge until Jam 2019.

So you see I have alo of learning to do so it's not the learning I do not like,
in fact it's the remembering I have problems with.
