"AMERICA FIRST" "AMERICA FIRST" sounded great when the president yelled it out. The banners waved and people cheered. Well words and deeds have consequences. The president now points to China and claims they withheld information about the C****a V***s while they bought up and stock piled medical equipment for their own use. Maybe they did, I don't know. But think for a moment, to all of those people who cheered "AMERICA FIRST", this is one of the responses from the leadership of another country "CHINA FIRST".

Words have consequences and the words of The President of The United States can have grave consequences.
So you keep cheering when the president tells other nations how bad they are, you keep cheering when the president pulls our country out of treaties he doesn't like, you keep cheering when he insults the leaders of other countries. Yes, you keep cheering, and keep thinking that the president's words and deeds will not have any consequences for the United States.

To all of those people who are about to attack me as unpatriotic or worse ... why don't you try to show me why the thought/the idea/the policy of putting our nation first should not be used by other nations also.

"AMERICA FIRST" "AMERICA FIRST"... (show quote)

I will keep cheering, and unpatriotic was the one word description that best applies.

Trump has little impulse control, coupled with no respect for t***h. For that reason, irresponsible words—insults, hyperbole, outright lies, premature and inappropriate judgements, h**eful criticisms, poorly thought out ideas, t***hs mixed with lies, personal but baseless aspirations, non-fact based conclusions, and H**E falls from his mouth everyday.
Yes, the President’s words are often unbecoming of a leader, and do have consequences, both domestically and internationally. Burning bridges with impulsive h**e-filled rhetoric is always detrimental. Your post is more patriotic, than not.

You don't realize that other nations already do put themselves first??? And often at our detriment.

Yet everything that was great about America -- freedoms, living standards, capitalism, international trade, peace treaties, including the booming economy that grew steadily since 2009 up until about 3 months ago -- was based on the very relationships with other nations that Trump is now undermining or casting aside.

Perhaps it was all a house of cards that might someday collapse, but did you ever expect YOUR PRESIDENT to be the one who pulled out the key card at the bottom row?

A few loose bricks might have needed new mortar, but that does not justify demolishing the entire structure.

A natural disaster, a world wide p******c, hit earth and derailed the economies around the world--including Canada. And you're seriously trying to blame that on Trump--or any other Nation's leader other than China's Xi Jinping for it?

I'm pretty sure that you are much more intelligent than that, but maybe I'm wrong.

I understand that government leaders didn't cause the p******c but they are too held responsible for their timely response to it.

Should the one's who used it to thin their Medicare rolls also be held responsible?

I'm really not sure I understand what your getting at. The executive branch of the government is responsible for administrating Medicare and yes they should be held responsible for the job they do.

Medicare is a kind of health insurance that pays the bills and not responsible for the medical decisions and advice the doctors, medical and science experts give. Yes even the advice and action or inaction the president gives or doesn't give.

Perhaps you are unaware of the massacre on helpless elderly nursing home residents, most who are on Medicare, by both Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York and Gov. Phil Murphy of New Jersey. When the v***s was heating up, they issued almost identical orders which required nursing homes to accept C****-** patients. The orders even went so far as to bar the homes from even asking if the patients had the v***s.

Nowhere did I write or even hint at blaming Trump for "A natural disaster, a world wide p******c".
I am holding him responsible for the words he utters. What I am trying to point out is the Presidents words carry a lot of weight and responsibility and can cause unintended consequences ... That is what I am saying.

So your position is China was a kinder and gentler oppressive regime before Trump.

Make your case:
