I love early mornings for the low angle of sun, and contrasts of shadow and light. I love the beauty of nature. A gentle story is offered here for your consideration. Thank you in advance for your time and constructive feedback.

Very calming Linda, I'm there sitting on the bank watching dragonflies and pond skaters, at peace in this crazy world.

Linda, I sense a kindred spirit. Your vision and execution remind me of the kind of subjects that speak to me in nature. Thanks.
Thank you very kindly, Paul. Do you have any photos on UHH, or another location?

I love it, I love it, I love it. I’m curious, however; what would the effect be of removing the circular ripple and all the material to the left of the tall plant material? I lean toward minimalism, so I might be biased.
Hi Richard, lovely to hear from you. R.G. asked me about those pieces (the circle is a lily pad), and here was what I wrote in reply, The lily pad, two sticks with their shadows, and whatever those two other things are in that grouping I plan to keep. I like how they fit in that negative space, and that they are an outlier (?) to the perfect reflections/shadows of the rest.

I understand your point, but I'm thinking I prefer as presented. Your time and interest are much appreciated!

Thanks very much, Graham. You've reminded me of a potential photo op this summer: a re-visit to the water striders at the arborteum

I'm looking forward to trying my Olympus on dragonflies; weather is supposed to be much warmer at the end of the coming week, so perhaps they will be amenable to a few portraits.

One of your best Linda. I like the composition with enough space to breathe.

Wow!! The conditions being so still are just perfect. That part was done by nature. The contrast between the greens and the blue, set off by that yellow is all you. If it were my image, I'd be very proud of it.
