I love early mornings for the low angle of sun, and contrasts of shadow and light. I love the beauty of nature. A gentle story is offered here for your consideration. Thank you in advance for your time and constructive feedback.

Did you think about tidying it up and then decide not to?

LOL, if only you could see what kind of housekeeper I am

I cloned out a few stray bugs/bits on the water surface. Is there something in particular that niggles? The lily pad, two sticks with their shadows, and whatever those two other things are in that grouping I plan to keep. I like how they fit in that negative space, and that they are an outlier (?) to the perfect reflections/shadows of the rest. I appreciate your keen eye, R.G.

Those are the bits I was wondering about. I thought you might want to go for a starker, cleaner look more in keeping with the clean-cut shapes of the plants. But that might make it a bit too sterile.

Its beautiful Linda.. A great use of negative space and light to lead you to the heart of the story. As Nick Jonas sings "I still get jealous ". 🥰

Linda, I have always enjoyed viewing your photos. They are always done with a good eye, great "taste", and nicely processed without much exaggeration. I only wish there were a few more lily pads to be with the one in the shot. Most of the composition is linear and the lily pad is really the only true round or oval object in the shot. Because of its singularity, it tends to draw my eye to it and away from the rest of the image. I think you are right that it helps break up the negative area of the shot though.

I actually know who Nick Jonas is, if not his songs

Glad you enjoyed, Keni, thanks so much!
