Which one do you like? Either one, both of the them, neither of them.

Both, but #2 the best, Frank.

#2 has the better composition and the pier adds interest. In #1 the breakwater divides the scene, and in addition to that it's on the dark side.

As has been mentioned in the first shot the breakwater does you no favors. In the second shot the footprints in the sand rather than adding to the mystery or the story are a distraction leaving me wondering where my eyes should settle. The shot would have had more atmosphere with the footprints but without the boat which is saying nothing other than its stuck in the middle of the shot.

Thanks Mike. I actually created #2 first. Than I wanted to see using the same boat and clouds what it would look like with a different backdrop.

Thank R.G., seems that is the general consensus On picking #2. In #1 I used a texture, (same on I used in #2) on the rocks. No sure if that contributed to the dark look. On the shot with the pier I used the texture on the sand.

Thanks Toleman for your thoughts. I had other similar shots without the foot prints. But I liked this one because it did have the foot prints in the sand. Just goes to show how people will view a scene differently.

Thanks, as I mentioned that is the first one I worked on. The other one was for a lack of a better term, an after thought. Seeing what I could do with the same elements.
