Impressive gathering of ducks/geese - we never see those numbers down here in Ohio!

Sue the large flocks of Snowgeese were taken in Quebec., I seldom see a Snowgoose In Our province , but this year I did find one Snowgoose travelling with a flock of Canada’s, however the Mallardsand BlAckducks are local. I purposely focus on ducks Each spring to shake off the winter blues. I usually go duck hunting every early spring day This topic is a fun reason to dive into my photo archives.

Up close and far away.

Up close, our backyard fence. We've moved since this shot was taken.

Far away, the 17 mile drive near Monterey Calif on our way home from the Monterey Bay Aquarium we came across a rock covered in birds and their guano... birdshit.

Puffy head. I don't know what is wrong with this bird but maybe it was just a "bad hair day" lol

These few pictures definitely feature birds of the same feathers.
firstly, male and female Mallard Ducks., next Snowgeese, all birds of a feather.
The last picture a lone Snowgoose with Canadas, all geese, but not of the same feather.

I like the black duck close up most.

When I used to see a Black duck my response usually was, " Oh, just a Black Duck" like " Oh just a crow", but I have since developed an appreciation for Black Ducks and their Beauty.
