In a case like this, I would choose the color rendition, as the tones are so delicate they are lost in B/W.

It is one heck of a choice Bob I choose the black and white.

Very nice black and white. Comes alive in color.
#1 does not have the contrast that is necessary for a good B&W.
When I looked at the B&W, I had to look twice. The stem almost looks like a figure of a lady!
#2 for sure the color gives it “life”
