Had to go up into the forest and hills for a break yesterday...in search of Trillium. It is fairly easy to locate on the forest floor but generally just a single or double shoot sticking up and maybe a few of those in a small cluster. The seeds are carried off by ants that eat part of it and discard what eventually sprouts, under the cover of leaves and such. Last pic is just a rare find here as it is a whole community that had grown on top of an old fallen fir tree down in a wash.

Nice. Looks like the macro is working well.

Thank you. I once had a photography teacher who said if you're in a rut, go buy a piece of equipment which gives you capabilities you didn't have before, and in this case it worked like a charm.

5,7 odd number for japanese arrangement ...-like 1 1/2 higher than the container for an arrangement...

sometimes rules need to be adjusted....

I love seeing the first blooms of the year start to appear. I plant new bulbs every fall and really enjoy seeing what comes up. And when the fruit trees start to blossom I really get excited. I am looking forward to seeing the first blooms of spring from your neighborhood.

Here's a few from Tennessee
