I love seeing the first blooms of the year start to appear. I plant new bulbs every fall and really enjoy seeing what comes up. And when the fruit trees start to blossom I really get excited. I am looking forward to seeing the first blooms of spring from your neighborhood.

I like 2 and 3.

I live half a block from Golden Gate Park, and I just got a new macro lens a few weeks ago so I could shoot tiny flowers. I've been concentrating on the cherry blossoms, since they have a short season.

Some lovely images.

Thank you. I should have gotten a macro a long time ago. I had just been ignoring tiny flowers unless I could get a bunch of them in one shot. It has added a great new element to my flower photography.

more spring blooms. Sometimes they have to weather the late spring snows

Thanks for hosting, Kat. Very few blooms are out here. This is a repost - my only real blooms experienced snow... I'll find others from archives, later.

Most of the color in our yard right now comes from the ground cover - few flowers have emerged so far.
