I just got the trial version and have had no issues, either as a standalone or as a plugin to Lightroom Classic.

I should note that this program does not have in its list of usable formats .TIFF, nor PSD for that matter.

That’s interesting, because when I use it as a plug in with Lightroom, Lightroom saves the raw file as a tiff and that’s what opens in Topaz. One thing I’ve learned is that when using LR to sharpen it’s usually at the end of my workflow. When using Topaz to sharpen it seems to work better if I do it first.

I tried Ai Sharpen when it first came out and rejected it as too slow (15+minutes to render a photo) Then I got a different computer and it now takes 15 seconds or so. If my landscape photos are well taken and are crisp the ai sharpen does nothing to improve the photo. But for the vast majority of my photos--- well that's a different story.

I have the Topaz AI programs and have no problems with their functioning. Sharpen AI has an option to refresh the screen or not after you change the screen view or adjustments. Possibly, you have that turned off and you are not seeing the effects?

I always use the split screen view. It’s possible the OP has it in split screen and the slider is all the way to the right.

I have it and have had no problem. Are you using it as a stand-alone or within something like PhotoShop? Did you try re-installing, update it and restart our computer?

I have noticed that the Topaz AI programs do not like TIF files that contain an alpha channel. Have you saved a selection in the file you are trying to Sharpen AI.

I just downloaded a trial version yesterday and so far have no issues with working. I have used it on .tiff files without any problems as well as .jpg files.

Sounds like a PEBKAC issue.

I have used it since last fall and have used it on PSD and camera raw files, as well as jpg. I typically use Topaz Denoise AI first. I've upgraded every time it's been available, and it's become much faster.

I had the same experience. But note the system requirements - 8Gb RAM, and 2Gb(!) dedicated, on the graphics card.

I agree I first tried Topaz AI on my old laptop, it took eight to ten min. for it to run.
I quit trying to use it, about a week later I got home. I put it Topaz AI on my desktop the same picture took
less than one min. to correct the photo.
I then order a new top of the line MSI Laptop.
When I got the new LT everything ran great.
I have been more than happy with all seven Topaz AI software that I now own.

P/S
When you think the software has a problem first, check your computer or your self.

Sorry Carol, but mine (v2.0.5) works fine with tiffs and the other formats. If you could give more info, we might be able to help.
