Interestingly only one individual called it 'Chinese virus' and he failed to handle it well.
Maybe trying to divert attention from his failing - that could explain it!

Longshadow,

I totally agree with everything you've just said !

It is reprehensible. And the fault is not on the name/phrase used, but the person reacting to the phrase. And the best solution is " for people to be fetched up proper "

I just also believe that not everyone is fetched that way. And that there are some pretty low folks who sometimes do act in pretty reprehensible ways. And that is how some folks ARE reacting to that phrase.

So while I agree that the virus did start in China and there is actually nothing really wrong with calling it the China Virus or even the Wuhan Virus other than the fact that some folks ARE reacting that way. And so it would be so simple to simply call it the coronavirus and and try not to get those jerks all riled up even more than they are.

OK I'll get off my high horse now and leave it be. I would only ask (!) that you consider calling it something other than the Chinese virus.

Have a nice evening Longshadow.
Longshadow, br br I totally agree with everything... (show quote)

You also!

(And I call it Covid-19 by the way.)

In response to the original post. There is less vibration being detected on the planet. That may or may not be a good thing. As for calling this the "China Virus" that is divisive, and other remarks posted here. Now is not the time to point fingers or throw stones. Now is the time to be supportive of each other. By what ever events or circumstance caused this situation we are now all in this together. We need not cast dispersion on others. A virus does not discriminate, if we do we a reduced to being less than a micro organism. I would prefer to be better than that. I follow the numbers of the fall out of this horrific event hourly. My soul grieves for all of the, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands, sisters, grandparents, who have succumb to this virus. So for me I would like to say only post beautiful pictures and supportive comments on this web site. May your God Bless you, and stay safe. Next month I want everyone who reads this to still be around.

I doubt if anyone can take exception to most of your comments. They are well spoken with compassion and bring a degree of understanding and sympathy to the current situation. I just wish someone would send them to nancy pelosi and ask her to read and abide by them.

Please explain how calling the China Virus the China Virus is divisive.

I guess I misunderstood - exactly which government official referred to it as the Chinese Flu (multiple times during press conferences)?

Who is divided and why are they? As I recall, it was senile old joe who criticized the president for banning flights from China and calling that racist. The divide comes from the dimocrats and their continual obstructionism, lying and diversion (like impeaching the prez for trying to do his job by exposing corruption in the govt). So yes, I guess we are divided so lay the blame where it belongs---starting with cadaver-faced pelosi.

Interesting article.

We had a 6.5 earthquake here in Idaho last week. Second strongest in the state's history.

This pandemic still seems to be giving Mother Nature a break, though.

Stay well.

There was a small one, 3.1 in South Glens Falls, NY last week as well.

You mean like this devisive and name calling post? This is a great example of the problem. Everything is Republicans vs Democrats (or dumbcrats or libitards), name calling, hatred, anger, finger pointing, I’m right and you’re wrong, accusations and a litany of lies and attacks on everybody that disagrees with your position. Here’s an idea - why don’t we just forget politics for awhile, work together and get through this thing - there will be plenty of time for politics in November. Maybe in the interim, we can just all act like the nice adults that I’m sure we are.
