Looking for feedback regarding photo storage on the cloud
Specifically, what system do you judge the easiest to utilize for the purpose of storing JPEG and RAW images
I use SmugMug for years and happy with it.
It's easy to create galleries and upload images. Space is unlimited and you can create your page and have your own domain name. You can also sell your images there. I have a paid annual membership fee of about CDN$60.
Here is my site:

The trouble with Carbonite is that they wipe files after 30 days. If you inadvertently wipe a set of photos from your drive or camera, and fail to notice them gone, after 30 days or so they ARE gone. So it's a good back-up but not storage.
OTOH, when my computer's brain decided to take a holiday I notified them and they held the account open and all files could be restored.
Aside from the fact that I'm real careful with the delete key, if I delete it, I really want it gone. I suppose another reason I really don't delete anything but the really lousy ones. They have some kind of meaning to me or trigger some kind of memory. I don't shoot hundreds a week either.
I wipe my backups after the third backup (I keep father, son, and grandfather locally), which would be 90 days, or sooner. About 30 days between backups, unless I go shoot a mess, like vacation, then I do a backup after I upload them.
I used Time Machine and a DROBO NAS for local backup and Amazon Prime for cloud storage/backup.
Been using Backblaze for some time now and have not experienced the problems mentioned by one person. As to retrieving a single file or folder - no problem. I've had to do that a couple of times and only download that particular file from the cloud to my computer.

Ditto - Have had no issues accessing files from Backblaze. However - you must remember that, if you delete a file from your system, that file will only remain on BB for 30 days. (Another reason I do local backups as well)
