I remember that one! I grew up about 20 miles from the Indianapolis Speedway. My best friends dad owned National Car Rental and they lived across the street from us. Every year there would be like 5-10 Pace Cars at their house off and on for the month of May! Brings back lots of memories! Cool that you have one!

I am almost 77 and my dream car is still a '57 Chevy. My health is poor and even if I had one, I could not enjoy it.

I’m sorry to hear that your health is poor I’m 75 myself and I truly hope you recover and that you get your dream car

I always wanted a pace car and I was fortunate enough to find one that truly was worth getting I’ve had it for some time now and every time I get it it always puts a smile on my face

You’re right I am lucky but I worked very hard to make it look like that and to make it happen

When I got back from Vietnam in 1970, I bought a ‘67 Vette with 37,000 miles on it. It was a fastback with a 435 horse 427 with solid lifters and 3 deuces. Sure wish I’d kept that baby.....

I have always and will always be a Corvette fanboy, would love to own the new mid-engine Vette, but at 77, I couldn't get in the damn thing. BTW, great shots of your Corvette.

It would worth a mint today, but hindsight is 20 20 as the saying goes.

Beautiful car! Funny how Vettes of any generation inspire so much love. I have a silver C5 vert in my garage.

That's a beauty Lone_Ranger.

I have a pewter '04 C5 in my garage. As tempting as the C8's are, I think the C5 is the best looking one made so far.

A friend bought it new, put it in his garage and put a cover over it. He drove it just a few times then put it back in his garage. When I gave him $27,000 for it, it was 8 years old and had 1365 miles on the odometer. I have 31,000 on it now, and keep it looking showroom new.

Very nice. I have wanted one since 1957. I was 7yo and a guy who worked for my dad took me for a ride. Fast forward to 2014. I retired and bought a 2005 with 60k miles. I have put another 60k miles on it and I love every minute I spend being the wheel of it. Drive carefully and stay healthy.

I have been an absolute gearhead all my life. It is so nice when you can get nice cars that have great engineering built into them. That is what makes cars such as this so very special.
