Novel framing idea

Looking for something to do while there is a virus running rampant? I decided to frame a picture. I like to use something from the picture itself to make the frame. In this one I copied a small strip along the front edge of the sliver of rock near the center. I duplicated the copy and flipped the 2nd copy horizontally. That gave me two edges that match up and I joined the two copies. The two ends also have edges that match up. I made several copies of this section and joined three together for both the top and bottom and two together for the sides making sure the same edge was facing inward on all four pieces. I arranged them, made a 45 degree cut on the top piece at each corner and there's my frame. You can get some really interesting frames this way. Picture was made in the Garden of the Gods, Colorado

I don't see the climber at first pass, will try again after coffee In your opening I added a link to your last year's step by step tutorial. Let me know if anything has changed.

This result looks terrific, thanks!

Thanks for adding the tutorial link. I had forgotten about it.
Those rocks are HUGE. You have to download and then enlarge it to spot him. And then you can't tell for sure but it looks like a climber to me.

Very nice, at least the climber gives scale to the size of the rocks..
