Have you been keeping up? It seems your wife needs to call Dr. F***i, and others, and tell them they are lying about the availability of the C***d ** test. No where, with the exception of your posts, have I seen that there are plenty of tests.

Dr. F***i was talking about the early rollout of the C****a V***s test kits, many of which had a defective chemical reagent, and didn't work. That has since been fixed, but it did cause a slow-down at the beginning. This brings up an overlooked point. There is no "single test" or "test kit" for the C****a V***s. There are multiple ways to test and multiple types of "kits" and machines involved.

The old method called polymerize chain reaction involves multiplying the DNA of the captured bug in order to get enough of it so it can be analyzed and identified easily. It takes a couple of days to do this. The test my wife's hospital is using right now is different and takes several hours to get a positive or negative result after the sample has been delivered. Of course it takes time a nurse to get a mouth swab and have it delivered to the lab. Not every doctor's office is located right next to the laboratory where the testing occurs, but some are.

They are awaiting any day this week, several models of a new machine that will take eight samples at a time and spit out the result in 75 minutes. It has not yet been approved by the FDA or CDC or wh**ever, but it is being allowed because of the urgency.

My guess as to why you find only articles stating that we don't have enough test kits is because there is no single source for the "kits." Some are being provided by the government and some are being provided by private companies and hospitals, though they are all manufactured by private companies. With this patchwork of suppliers, someplace is inevitably going to get their kits later than others, and they are going to complain. Some of these places are using the old polymerize chain reaction test while they wait for faster methods. Of course the news media loves these complaints and are more than willing to amplify them beyond rationality. You never hear from the places that have their testing in order because they don't complain and no journalist will interview them since there is no story.

Whats his wife got to do with it anyway? BTW, have you stopped beating yours?

My wife works at one of the major hospital systems in the U.S. and she is actually doing most of the lab tests for C****a beer(!) for the whole system. Cleveland, despite being one of the worst $#it-hole cities in the U.S., has two of the top hospitals in the World. (I got in trouble before for saying too much about her hospital's take on this, so I won't mention which one.)

Lucky for me, I get a lot of business painting portraits for these two WONDERFUL AND HALLOWED INSTITUTIONS. (just in case they are reading this!) Coincidentally, Johns Hopkins Medical Center is also in one of the countries worst $#it-hole cities, Baltimore. I spot is a trend here.

Don't answer that right away.

Mike DeWine did.

You're not kidding! DeWine is gubner of Ohio. Last night me and my wife went out to our favorite pizza joint around 7:00 PM and they were mysteriously closed. There were workers inside and one came to the door and simply said "we are closed" with no explanation. So we stopped at our favorite Indian restaurant instead and they were open. The owner told us "We're open till 9:00 but then we have to shut down due to orders from the guvnor."

Apparently DeWine surprised everybody by ordering a total shutdown of all restaurants as of nine o'clock last night, allowing only take-out. He didn't give anybody time to prepare, just BOOM! Keep in mind we have something like 40 cases in all of Ohio without a single death.

Around noon time today I went to the local grocery store to get some eggs, which I am out of, and people were panic buying once again, I'm sure due to Dewine's panicked order. All eggs and milk were gone, all toilet paper, much of the meat, half of the fruit, and half of the frozen foods. Strangely, all onions and potatoes were hoarded up too.

I waited in the check-out line behind two Hispanic ladies who were hoarding dozens and dozens of Goya canned goods. So I spoke to a guy in line about the madness and he told me that he worked in some food industry or restaurant where they had just bought and cooked up 400 pounds of meat when they received the govnor's order. He didn't know if all that meat was going to go to waste or not.

Maybe you should get your wife to proofread your posts. The "bug" contains RNA, not DNA.

That's right. It was a silly comment based on total conjecture. While it is nearly certain that there are more cases out there that have not been detected yet, 100,000 is just a ridiculous number. To put it in perspective, the entire country of China has not reached that number. Ohio has a total of 50 cases detected as of today. DeWine expects us to believe that there are 100,000 people out there who are infected, and none of them have shown symptoms enough to show up in doctors offices? This would mean that the death rate is so low (zero deaths in Ohio and only 12 critical cases in the entire United States) that less than one person in 100,000 will die, let alone even know they have the disease. You are more likely to die from a cold.
