Nice ones, Kathy. You’re in my category, by the way.

You did OK. I am not a bird catcher either.

I am SO not a bird photographer. I find it hard to even SEE the little buggers! But I have managed to capture a few lately that are recognizable! (You may not want to pixel peep, though.)

I love the little red bird, Kathy...keep on shooting them...it will get better.

Beautiful little Flycatcher Kathy. Birds can be tough to catch, but the reward is usually well worth the effort.

Sounds like it might be a relative of the "blurred streaks". Those sort of bird shaped streaked blurs I sometimes get when trying for a bird in flight.

Oh, yes. I get those a lot! Sometimes I wonder about UFO's getting in the way of my lens!

Not a Scarlet Tanager. Vermilion Flycatcher. Nice ones too. But I didn't download. Hey, I follow instructions and recommendations...sometimes.

Thanks for the correction! My friend is a true birder. He actually carried with him a "birds of Ecuador" book! He (the bird) was quite active and seemed to dare us to get his picture. The download on him isn't awful. But compared to the pictures by the several birders on this site, it's pretty bad!

Thanks, Jay. Sometimes I determine I'm going to work on my birding, but it's so discouraging. Cactus are better. Even horses on the move! At least I can see them.

Thanks, Mike. My friend Joe is quite encouraging. He has the right lens for it (and actually carried it with him to Ecuador!). At least he can see them in the trees. By the time I find them, they'are gone!

Thanks! I think between my lack of a longer reach and my shaky hands, it might be a losing battle. But I do love hearing them in my trees. And I admit I'm getting better at locating them.

He was quite cute. I usually can't even get them in the frame! Or they end up being the "black blobs" with no detail. I'm going to try with my new camera (thanks, Diane!) with my big lens. It focuses and shoots a LOT more quickly!

I like the image of the Vermilion Flycatcher. I've never even seen one. vz
