I am SO not a bird photographer. I find it hard to even SEE the little buggers! But I have managed to capture a few lately that are recognizable! (You may not want to pixel peep, though.)

Love the little red bird - not something I see!

We decided it was a scarlet tananger - according to my friend's bird book! Thanks. He was pretty friendly.

These are very nice, Kathy. You just need a longer lens to get closer and you'll be a true birder.

Well good for you, congrats.

A question though, I get "black phoebes" in my yard/pool but what kind of bird is a "black blob"?

I had on my longest lens. It's a 28 to 300. At least I didn't have on the 135! Well, actually, the Hummers were with the 135. Thanks. I like birds. I'm just way too slow.

That's the kind of bird that photobombs all of my bird shots. I'll see this lovely woodpecker in a tree and when I download the picture it's a black blob, not a woodpecker at all. Thanks.

Sounds like it might be a relative of the "blurred streaks". Those sort of bird shaped streaked blurs I sometimes get when trying for a bird in flight.

Not a Scarlet Tanager. Vermilion Flycatcher. Nice ones too. But I didn't download. Hey, I follow instructions and recommendations...sometimes.
