My Black Rapid system went to the Goodwill years ago
You still face the same problem ... unless you think an arca plate has magical sticking powers. Whether it is a post or plate connection ... it still uses a grommet system (round or square).
If anyone is getting slippage ... replace the rubber grommet.
I have never once had that happen.
Once you are done shooting and put the gear away ... always take off the strap. Save the plate or post grommet.
If your camera has a tripod mounting plate get a small Kirk or RRS clamp and attach it to the mounting plate. Easy to remove strap to put camera on tripod! Still need to check that the clamp is tight as a matter of good practice!

I no longer use my Black Rapid strap. I prefer the weight and comfort of my Canon CPS strap designed by OpTech. But in the 4 years I used my Black Rapid it never unscrewed or loosened. even once. The same is true for my wife who has been using hers for almost 5 years. However, just to be on the safe side, both my wife and I added the Black Rapid tether which attaches from the strap to one of the lugs. I believe the issue with loosening is party attributable to the strap not being tightened sufficiently when installed.

The black rapid strap that I had came loose at the swivel point that attaches to the bottom of the camera.
I was able to catch the camera before it crashed to the ground. BLACK RAPID'S RESPONSE WAS, WE'LL SEND YOU A NEW SWIVEL CLIP!
Exactly why I refuse to use a Black Rapid Strap to hold up my Nikon D850 in spite of how popular they are.
