Are there still ongoing issues with Adobe CC and the Mac Catalina OS? Can I safely upgrade now without concern about Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC or should I continue to use Mojave?

I'm having great luck with Adobe CC and Catalina, but that doesn't apply to everything. I have backup and scanning applications that don't work. From working with the publishers and with Apple, I've concluded that I need to do a fresh install of Catalina. The applications work fine in a test user that I set up...just not in my production user account, so I don't think it's Catalina per se. I'm really glad I upgraded to Catalina despite those two hiccups. jak

Initially, after upgrading to Catalina, I had problems.
But, after getting one on one telephonic help from Adobe (the tech accessing my computer for about ten minutes); I have no further problems or issues with Adobe and the Catalina upgrade.

What is it about Catalina that you are glad about? What are the new features that you find helpful? So far, I have not been excited about the features and have not upgraded.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

I update my OS as soon as an update is available and have not had any issues. Lightroom Classic CC runs as it’s supposed to on my Mac.

See my post on my recent issue when exporting photos after using a plug-in. If one uses Lightroom as part of their workflow, it seems Lightroom remembers the plug-in application and defaults to that when exporting and not 'hard drive' in the export dialog box. No solution from Adobe (yet) after alomst 3+ hours on chat.

Temporary solution - I created an export preset to a folder on my hard drive.

There is a solution. Stop chatting and contact a human voice at Adobe.
The Adobe tech I contacted understood and fixed my problem in minutes.
Catalina and Lightroom are completely compatible in my house.

Looks like the 3rd party plug-in. If not, I'll take your advice!

I hear lots of good things about Catalina and LR recently, however there is another issue with Catalina which worries me--it no longer supports Aperture. So eight years of Aperture files which open on Mojave cause me to stay with the older software until I get around to transferring them LR. Has anyone found an easy way to preserve Aperture without the transfer?

I've gone back to High Sierra - much less buggy the either Mojave or Catalina. Just works properly without annoying "advantages". I mean how does the "Dark Mode" affect anything ???????????????? When I really look at what I need in a computer then I have to say even Mavericks was better than Mojave with Windows 10 being better than both. I only use Apple machines for the quality of the screens. I use Parallels to run Windows 10 on my Macs and have no problems with any software. High Sierra is used for internet email/browsing being, I believe, more secure than Windows.

As I recall there was an easy transfer from Aperture to Adobe LR Classic CC, but that was a few years back when it was called Lightroom. I loved Aperture but Times change and I went screaming and clawing all the way. Now I'm glad I went. $10/mo is cheap compared to what you get. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.Good luck
