Looking for REVIEWS for this new Movie, was it a good Family movie?

The dog isn’t real; it's an animated dog--bummer.

Great movie. Not for young kids. Buck is an amazing animation!

The reviews I've seen say Harrison Ford is very good, but the dog is CGI and doesn't look real.

Buck looked very real to me.

Nice little fantasy type family movie. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. Buck was the lead star of course, and it was great seeing Ford in a role that suited him well. There were several humorous points that made me chuckle. If you go during the matinee pricing, it's well worth the money and time spent.

No, the dog was real. It came from a town just north of where I live in Kansas.
The "pack" of dogs were animated.
About the movie. To me there was too much animation and not enough "real stuff".
Had a good story line however and yes I would say your children under 11/12 years old would enjoy the movie. I'm 79 and the movie was interesting.

I don’t know if the movie follows the book, but the original story by Jack London is a classic. In junior high, I read it a dozen times, at least.

Buck was definitely animated. The movie was pretty good. Uplifting actually. And I don't know why it wouldn't be good for young kids. I would have taken mine in a second when they were small. Spoiler alert, there are no lightning bugs or wild boars in Alaska. Ford did a good job both as narrator and actor. No, it didn't follow the book very closely.
