I used to live in Detroit and my Mother would take me to the Zoo. It appears the Detroit Zoo has really changed. I am thinking of flying up for a few days and trying to get some good shots of the animals in the winter. Any suggestions for best glass to bring along? Are tripods or monopods allowed? Are you allowed to bring your gear in with a cart?

Thanks, Dale
Ps My Dad's office was in Ferndale ... what memories.

Arctic foxes are small and particularly cute in their white winter coat. The summer coat is mostly gray and tan. In the wild they eat lemmings, birds, bird eggs and seal leftovers from polar bear kills.

The photos were taken at the Arctic Fox habitat within the 4.3 acre Arctic Ring of Life at the Detroit Zoo. Three rescued sister make it their home when a private owner decided to give them up.

Great place - great photos!

Thank you very much, rmm. I think it was a bird but not sure.
