Arctic foxes are small and particularly cute in their white winter coat. The summer coat is mostly gray and tan. In the wild they eat lemmings, birds, bird eggs and seal leftovers from polar bear kills.
The photos were taken at the Arctic Fox habitat within the 4.3 acre Arctic Ring of Life at the Detroit Zoo. Three rescued sister make it their home when a private owner decided to give them up.

Thanks very much, kpmac. We don't see them in the wild, but they work well in the zoo because they're dressed for winter and in the summer they shed all that long gorgeous coat and seem to do fine in their underwear.
