That's Saguaro Lake and it's on the Salt River. I've seen it be a lot higher, but the Salt River Project does a good job controlling things.

Thank you, Jederick. I actually used two. I had an SX50 around my neck and a 1DX Mk ii in my hand. The 1DX is new and I'm still getting used to it.

I couldn't find a "trail," so ended up walking up a wash, then climbing out of the wash to the top of the ridge to find my way back to the lake. Afterwards, we visited a few pull-offs, just for the views. It was a really neat day!
