I have used Pictures to Exe version 9 for the purpose you describe. It has some very nice and powerful features and is worth checking out. The latest version has apparently been renamed PTE AV Studio 10.

I watched the video of them using it. It looked interesting. I might check it out.

PowerPoint also allows you to create slide shows that play on any PC even if they don't have PowerPoint installed.

I saw a beautiful presentation today of someone's travel photos. They were edited in LR and she used a program on her Mac and also a program called IMovie to make the presentation. It consisted of her photos, and some short video clips, and had music synced to the photos. The program enable her to fade to black, add a Ken Burns type affect, and the ability to dissolve from one photo to another.

Is there a similar program for a Windows 10 PC?

Thanks

I use Pro Show Gold and it does a superb job.

I'm sure there are some free programs for slide shows. Check download.com and filehippo.com.

I have been using NERO for several years. I am not heavily into making movies but I have put together quite a number of slide shows with background music with it that I share on TVs. Last fall I did my first 48-minute video. It contained digital pictures, a couple of scanned 35-mm slides, a 70 second portion of a digitized Super-8 8-mm movie clip, and several 1 to 1.2 minute camera videos. Background music when slides did not need narration, (a section of a number of Northern Lights pictures displayed for 4 seconds each), and even was able to pan across some 8 x 48 panoramic photos and adjust the speed and duration of the scan. There is a large number of themes to transit between items and time is variable to what you desire. You have a choice between the US version or the PAL versions for other countries. Is it the best? I wouldn't know. I have not tried the other programs suggested by others here.

Hi
Lightroom now edits video and there is away to make color corrections in Photoshop. Scott Kelby as a video on it which is very good. Just tried it and was able to do a lot. Adobe premier pro is also a professional type program but has a steep learning curve.

I use Roxio NXT Creator 7. You put the files you want into the program, add music, push a couple of buttons and you have a slideshow with music. Works great for me. It combines a number of programs into one project.

Have a look at Photostage Slideshow producer. There is a trial option available. Creates end product as MP4 or AVi and I believe other protocols too.
