I just spoke with the N.T.S.B. They said they were familiar with the video, that it was 4 years old, and shot in Afghanistan. I heard English spoken on the video, so .... dubbed maybe. Chopper 'appears' to be Red & white, hard to tell. It appears Kobe's was Blue & White. Both are Saddening disasters. I've been up in both fixed wing & rotary craft. To me, Choppers are like the Motorcycles of the Sky; Tough to walk away from an accident in/on either one. I would have gone IFR all the way after liftoff in the conditions described by witnesses. Well you sure showed us rubes how smart you are. Easier to say pilot error. When LAPD grounds their helos it's probably a good idea to ground your civilian helo that's only going to a kid's basketball game, not saving someone's life.
