What kind of bridge camera do you have? Why? What do you like about it?

Mine is a Leica VLUX 114. It is an amazing camera, worth every penny I paid for it.

Fuji HS10, Fuji HS50EXR, Sony RX10M4. Why? At the time of purchase, based on specs and reviews, they were the best ones on the market whose price was in reason.

I’m not sure how reasonable the price of the RX10 IV is at $1699.00, but it is definitely the best there is in this catagory.

I just bought, received it 2 days ago, an fz80 - open box on Ebay. So far, I really like it, for the same reasons you give. Thanks for the post.

I have the Canon SX60. Reasons for buying? Size and weigh, manageable range, easy to use, reasonable cost (sale on Canon’s refurnished site), fairly accurate focus system once you get the hang of it. Almost every bike ride I go on includes the camera especially this time of year when birds are nesting, not my main camera for travel but I bring it along because it doesn’t take up much room and is a perfect companion for river cruises.

I have a Canon G1X M III. Sold to me by a Minneapolis camera shop 18 months ago.
I do like many of its features. I am an advanced amateur, mainly shooting family and travel photos, both landscape and interiors of some dark places. I am happy with its low light ability. I love the fully articulated touchscreen plus the diopter correctable viewfinder. I like the ability to screw on a circular polarizer. The wrist strap is very useful.
The video feature is neat!
The bad: It is somewhat large and heavy at 14 ounces. A lot bigger than my pocketable G9X MI. It was a little hard to find a belt case for it, and that is large. The zoom is only 24-72. But I don’t do wildlife.
Conclusion: I appreciate that UHH has taught me that all cameras are a compromise. I think think the G1X MIII is a great compromise. There are so many more features I need to learn about.
I was looking at the Sony RX100 M VI, which gets such great reviews. But figured I am too old to learn the Sony menu structure, which all reviews state is more complicated.

I did take a look at the A900 but the lack of an EVF was a no-go for me. Seems like a decent camera, though.

I had a LUMIX fz1000 and returned it for the newer fz2500. They are similar with Leica lenses but the 2500 takes sharper photos. The Sony RX10 4 might have a "liiiittle" sharper Zeiss lense but it’s double the money and lacks some features that my Panasonic LUMIX has. I REALLY like the fully articulating screen on the LUMIX but the Sony is more weather resistant.

A bid difference is the zoom range, and I think the FZ2500 is apparently well suited for video.
