I'll take your suggestion.

This is simpler. There are three elements in this scene, man dumpster, and graffiti. Too Photoshopped looking?

Another great street shot.

It certainly is a street photo. However, one is left with the question of what is the subject? Is it the graffitied hydrant? The person walking on the sidewalk? The person playing the trumpet? The overall scene of the store? I'd suggest finding the subject of interest and establish the frame around that subject.

My humble opinion of this photo and the reply is -- the subject is the street. Of course the image is "busy". The phtographer wanted to show a slice of life, a street scene. Why must every photo be a closeup?
To isolate on the trumpet player would show a guy playing a trumpet. But that isn't the reason for the picture. The reason is to show a street on which a guy is playing a trumpet, the hydrant is decorated, the menu is displayed on an outdoor sign, etc, etc.

I would have concentrated on the trumpet player, she is unique.

Here's the illustrative suggestion I mentioned. There are the essential elements in this scene, trumpet player, man, dumpster, and graffiti.

Why did you assume that I was referring to close-up?

The only drawback. You have altered his picture.

I love focusing on the trumpet player. To me, she’s got a lot of character. I’d crop most of everything else out and have her as my focus. She’s wonderful!

I agree from my own POV - I would take out the guy in the Hawaiian shirt and perhaps the hydrant - make the image more starkly about the trumpeter by removing other potential subjects. Just MHO, but you asked!

If you're asking, I love the shot, but yes it's over processed for my taste. I like sharpness as much as the next guy but I also like the shot to look real. This almost looks like an artists rendering of the photo. I've used PS and LR for many years and it's really tempting to go overboard for me.

Nice but I think your comment about the menu should make the menu your focus point??!!
IMO yes, street photo.

To me, the focal point should be the street musician, not the storefront.
