Thanks Dr. Nikon. How can anyone who calls themselves a photographer not like her work? I’m glad you loved her work as much as I do.

Humbling and inspirational. Click on a photo and there is a link to her website where instructional videos and/or prints are available.

I didn’t notice the link to her website but I’m glad you pointed that out. I will definitely go to her instructional videos for sure. Thanks so much for letting us know about that.

Thank you for sharing that link. Those are beautiful images! After looking at them it makes me want to gather up every piece of photo gear I own and throw it all away for I know I will never be able to produce images like that! She is truly a gifted photographer.

Wow.

Interestingly i see two things that jump out at me... 1. She ignores the “don’t center your subject” rule which works exceptionally well for her, and 2. she seems to shoot with a wide open lens (which I have come to learn, Joel Sartore of National Geographic, highly recommends). Elena is a tremendously talented photographer... I hope some of it rubs off on me from admiring her work ;)

I guess that if I bought a camera/lens just like hers and knew what her SS/F-stop/ISO etc. I could take pics that good?
OK, I can dream can't I?
I just know that my NiSonCan has pics just as good, preloaded in it, on that sensor thingy! (Not even a chance)
Her knowledge, skills, and abilities shine through so brightly.

We discuss here often that it is the photographer, not the gear. The gear is important but use the same camera and lens she uses and see if you can come up with images like hers.
This is all about talent and being able to see the light besides a good understanding of composition.

Two things I noticed, the use of the light and the large lens openings. Compositions are impeccable. She masters ambient light to perfection.
A great artist.
