I just received a Sony body (A6000) without lens and I have a couple of Canon zoom lenses and primes.
If I buy an adapter (Canon to E mount with connectivity for AF and Aperture control), how close to I'll be getting the same results as with the "real think" ?. My budget is somehow limited now...
Thank you for any shared experience and/ or input. !

Here's a positive review of a $400 version:
https://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/metabones/ef-e-smart-adapter-t-mark-v.htmThere's cheaper options, just read the review comments on B+H, Adorama, etc, and make an informed decision.
But, if you want to be a Sony Man now, why not just sell off all / most the Canon lenses and get native lenses for the E-mount?

That K&F adaptor is manual focus, it will not autofocus.
The Sigma MC-11 works really well with the slightly newer A6 series, focus is slow on the a6000 but its workable; and of course you can always use manual focus. I’d look on ebay but make sure you get the cable so you can update the firmware. If you don’t need autofocus there are lots of options as others have noted.

With a good Metabones adapter very close, though AF is often slightly slower. Some lenses do not work well--check the Metabones site for a compatibility chart.
My experience with the Sony A6000 and Canon lenses was so bad that I would not recommend it. I don't want to insult any particular lenses or adapters, because it may have been my fault, but I found the combination to be slower, less reliable, slightly larger, only about as sharp as the inexpensive Sony 50mm 1.8. In addition, I lost the "better than nothing" image stabilization.
On the "Newer Generation" Sony cameras (like the A6600 or whatever), the adapters are supposed to work much faster, but on the A6000 it was annoying.

Folks, make no mistake, using ANY adapter on Sony e-mount is problematic !! The very latest Metabones and the Sigma MC11 seem to be the best - but ultimately, your results will depend on your exact camera/lens combo with the adapter - and the results will never be as good as a native lens.
.
For my A7III the Sigma MC11 ($149.00 on sale ) works really well with my Canon 100_400LII, focus speed is very close to if not just as fast as the speed I get on my 7Dmk2 . I have not done any extensive testing yet . Just for grins I put my Tamron 18-400mm on it and it works just fine in crop mode. And yes a native E mount lens would be preferred and should preform better but I just don't have the $$$$ for that right now
Have the Sony A6400 tried 2 different adapters for my Nikon lenses only one that worked was a 24-120 lens anything like a 70-200 froze up the camera and my 500PF focus went in and out so muchh I got dizzy ha.
returned the adapters and got a Sony 70-350 e mount G lens what a beauty so sharp I am happy camper
here is a shot from the 70-350 Sony E mount
I'd take a different approach, sell the Sony and buy a Canon lens you've wanted.
I've managed to get excellent results with a Canon 70-210 mm FD mount lens on my Sony A7II with an inexpensive FOTGA FD-NEX adapter. I prefer manual focusing anyway. I also have an adapter for Canon FE lenses, but I haven't acquired an FE lens yet.

I have the perfect Sony lens for sale. It is the 18-105 "G" PZ lens. The price is not much more than an adapter, and less than some, and the autofocus will work perfectly with the A6000. See yesterday's forum in classifieds, or send me a PM for a quote.
