Definitely true. That's why I referenced
aesthetic looks.
The image (camera) may really be level, but due to perspective, when viewing the image it may
appear to skewed.
Shorelines do that a lot. I'll "level" for the best look, which oddly enough, may be slightly crooked.

Beautifully captured!! I'll leave the "level" issue with you, as you were there. As the stream braids above there can be several independent waterfalls looking like one. However, trees near a stream are often not vertical due to wind and erosion. So it's your call. Beautiful photo either way!
