I spent some time yesterday making a background/overlay image, when I finished I thought "Wait a minute this needs a subject!" If you have any ideas, please show me.

It already has a subject, although now it's playing hide n' seek!

Your imagination works overtime. I can see the Owl on the left and what I think is an Ent on the right.

You already have it, if you pay attention.

OK, I'll take that as a strangely worded complement?

Divide your image in four squares.
Look at the lower square, upper right corner.
There you see the faint outline of what looks like an helmeted medieval age 'knight' or warrior.

There is another weird silhouette in there...

(Inside rectangles)

To make this more obvious I used levels to darken the original.

Basically you do not need any edit to make this 'interesting'. Just shift your vision and darken the image.

Overlaid a photo of some kind of bird, a cormorant I think it is, on a small lake.

Converted to srgb color space so that thumbnail would be same color/brightness as download.

Added Nik filter bleach bypass. Added my moon and erased bottom edges of sky using homemade brush (see #4). Added Nik Glamour Glow filter.
