Like many fellow uhh'ers I enter a few photo contests in line with my favoured photography subjects, however I recently came across a photo contest which totally baffled me as to the subject matter, this is it below, does anyone have a clue what I should look in my portfolio for??
"Transitions and displacements are the objects of reflection for our call. The concept of the two terms is a recall to the “liquid” vision of contemporary philosophy. Transitions, displacements, mutations of condition are the prerogatives of a fluid approach to reality, prerogatives of a free change in the state of things that allows full organic adherence to the environment and to the context in which each subject / object is immersed . The works that will take part in the exhibition will represent an excursus on the subject, addressed both from a physical, chemical and biological point of view and from a social, cultural and political one"

It would help to know who is sponsoring this competition. Greenpeace maybe?
This description applies to almost anything I can think of. Everything is in constant transition. Change is the only constant. If there is a photograph that could be rejected under this definition, it would have to be the single dullest most static photograph ever produced. Like a blank sheet maybe.

Perhaps an example of a Mutation might be a photograph of a street before and after the homeless have been given unfettered access to it. Before and after (an event or policy) photographs. Whoever wrote that description is a poor communicator or a practiced “brown-noser” within a group they wish to be a part of.

This is not a photo contest. It's the Articles of Impeachment passed by the Democrat House.

I think I figured out what the what the author does for a living. Photo contests are just a sideline. Their real income comes from writing wine labels.

Ha! Ha! Ha! This really made me laugh so thanks for posting it. A total bunch of nonsense from someone who has, quite literally, been smoking too much of something! They must be from the West Coast (where I actually live). Thanks again, this is indicative of today's world in the USA.
