My “objective” rating of this image:
Impact: strong due to contrast and management of hues and tones.
Technical: superb management of hues, tones, and contrast.
Composition: use of strong diagonal from lighted candles in lower right, through the rose, to B@by’s Breath in upper left was well conceived and not, to my eye, to be improved upon.
Impact: 4.5/5

I would be very surprised if this image did not finish “among the ribbons” in any reasonably well judged show entered in response to a general Call for Entries from the public.
