This is nothing new for the 49ers. If you look back at the scoreboard for the past 5 weeks, you’ll see the 49ers haven’t just been playing tight games. Their games have been as close as can possibly be imagined. All of them — three wins, two losses — have been decided on the last possession. Four have come down to the final play.

The Washington Huskies lost 5 games this season by a total of 25 points. Instead of a stellar season it was mediocre at best. We did have a nice bowl game, however.

Not a fan anymore of anything NFL after spending 30 years total service to our great country the disrespect to our flag by only a few I’ve not need able to get over. I use to follow watching every week started as a kid in the 60’s. I guess the commissioner could been more supportive of the flag but he wasn’t. Now I have much more free time to do other things than watch any pro football. And yes I defended their right to be disrespectful of our flag but I will never get over it. Happy New Year all.

Richard, I too boycotted the NFL when they started allowing this nonsense as did many of my Army buddies. Now that they have eliminated the broadcasts of the national anthem I take less exception and have begun watching the games again. This self-imposed avoidance is a shame but it is the times we live in.
