Thanks for the quick response Jules.
My gear consist of a Canon 7D MK II, and a Canon 70-200 II L. I also use a Tamron 150-600 G2 which I use the most often. I also have the Canon 1.4 III extender which I rarely use. I do use a monopod, and almost always leaning against something. I’m not to steady on my feet!
My settings are usually on TV mode, auto focus (BBF) A-servo, ISO between 800 to 1200, shutter speed depends on the lens I’m using. Bear in mind I bounce around trying to keep up with the game. I have gotten clearer shots, but I take quite a few pictures and delete probably 70%.
Once my granddaughter goes to collage, I’ll be limited to how many games I can go to, so I have to find something else to photograph.

Thanks for all your help.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Ok here we go. Try just for fun shooting moving cars for practice. Set the camera in manual (don't be afraid, we are just going to practice) For baseball I shoot in manual, set white balance usually for daylight, or cloudy. iso in auto. If you shoot 1/1600-1/2000 your iso will usually be set at around 400-600 which is good. Auto focus you have set perfect. So again 1/1600 at wide open (to keep the background soft) Plan for the action, runner on first, look for the pick off, of stealing of second base. Runner at 2nd or 3rd look for the play at the plate. Good luck, Jules

Jules,
Can’t thank you enough for your suggestions. I will practice on moving cars, and see how they turn out.
Take care.

One last example from the Photobacks Sports Template package. Progressive Insurance has been running a commercial on TV touting their "Progressive On Ice" show. Of course, it looks terrible and the quotes they show while airing "clips" from the show are funny ("I had the whole row to myself", etc.). At the end, the announcer says something like "tickets not available now or ever". I was teasing one of my grandsons that I was going to get him tickets to the show and produced this for him. Just had to cut the two sides out and paste them on some heavy construction paper.

According to the ticket, the show was tonight; I'll be sure and ask him how it was!
