If it falls out of your hands when you attempt to pick it up, that's a bad sign.

I would still clean the lens and then follow up with cleaning the outside of the lens and camera. You don't soak it, just use a damp cloth on the outside of the lens and camera. Use a Zeiss lens cleaner for the glass. Never trust that something didn't get to the camera. Better to be cautious.

I did the body cleaning. The lens is OK. Thanks.
