Very nice pictures. Getting to be the end for the good ole B17. Put a 34' boat on the bottom, hanging from the Bomb Bay and you'll have the B-17 I flew in the Air Sea Rescue for two years in the Phillipines.
That was back in WWII.

Thank you! I used to see B=17s with the boat attached flying out of Morrison Field (now Palm Beach International airport) when I was 4 or so. Thank you for your service! That particular B-17 was made 4 years after I was born...1943...they are getting rare, what with one thing and another.

Nope, he came back, married and had eight children. Despite that I believe he suffered from what we now call PTS, for he was never a happy camper.
