I actually read that article from Apple News. It was only interesting in that it showed some trends, but would have been more interesting if they stated how many were sold. That only satisfies the statement -"Inquiring minds want to know!"

All those thousands who shopped and bought gear on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. They cared very much. Cheers

It appears the article only focuses on camera sales through B&H - likely, the results are strongly influenced by the particular Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials which were offered by B&H.

Although B&H may be the largest non-chain camera store, there are thousands of electronic stores that sold cameras on Black Friday/Cyber Monday; B&H sales make up only a small fraction of total camera sales. What I'm saying is, the article is not really all that insightful or meaningful as it may first seem to be.
It appears the article only focuses on camera sale... (show quote)

That goes to show you that Sony is beat out every camera manufacture in Japan. the top three camera companies in Japan are Sony, Nikon and Canon. Sony is helping out the rest of the camera companies giving them sensors for there cameras and help out by making lenes for there camera.
