All those thousands who shopped and bought gear on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. They cared very much. Cheers

Buy one for me and then I'll care.
I'm surprised Canon isn't in there.
I wonder if Canon had been #1 if the OP would have let us know? Yeah, right!

I really wonder about this guy threads.
They are all pro Sony and he disses all the other brands constantly, trying to start rumors and the like.
I am not of the paranoid or conspiracy type of thing but this guy is starting to really rub me the wrong way.

Why would all those thousands care?
Does it mean that it's a better camera than all the other cameras? No.
All it means is that more were sold during that time frame. Nothing more.
There is no reason why anybody, whether they bought one or not, would care.
It appears the article only focuses on camera sales through B&H - likely, the results are strongly influenced by the particular Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials which were offered by B&H.
Although B&H may be the largest non-chain camera store, there are thousands of electronic stores that sold cameras on Black Friday/Cyber Monday; B&H sales make up only a small fraction of total camera sales. What I'm saying is, the article is not really all that insightful or meaningful as it may first seem to be.

That is the first thing I thought when I read the post, that he is a Sony fan boy.
I wouldn't be surprised if, really, he is insecure in his camera selection. And that by denigrating other brands and boasting about Sony helps him justify his selection to himself.
Failure is when you talk yourself out of buying a better camera.

Have watched you (from afar) for many months - sorry, you may be a 40 yr pro, but you're fixated on one brand and don't convey the more "broad-minded" view of European pro's to each other's kit.
You've become a bore.
You remind me of a certain party leader (we're at the climax of a General Election here) who seems only to be able to throw out one recurring sentence - "Get Brexit Done" - he might find now that "we don't want it".
I don't want, or need, any Sony. Many don't. Just accept it !

I've done that a few times and I never considered it a failure. I considered it making a smart decision by not spending more for something that isn't really going to do a whole lot more than what I did end up buying.

I'm guessing it was a Sony?! I bought another Canon...
