AGAIN, a thread being poisoned with the toxicity of personal objectives.

Please, let's keep it to the subject. Copyright and standards for critique are great topics.

Copyright and standards for critique are not the subject of this thread.

The subject clearly stated in the title and in test of the initial thread is etiquette and the need for UHH rules.

The fact that you participated in this thread is only further evidence that you are still trying to make excuses for your behavior.

I believe the initial post has been covered fairly well, and the thread has moved on, to other subsidiary and important considerations. That is how discussions go. I do not see you contributing.

The thread only “moved on” to the extent that you hijacked it by changing the subject.

If you don’t want to address the original topic you should start your own thread.

Why don't you suffer in silence, so that those of us who truly care about things can have a civil discussion. What you call "hijacking" I see as a natural and logical progression. You don't think the broader implications of critique are important, fine, no need to rain on others' parade who are interested.

Correction - This thread was started due to someone else's infringement of the forum rules.

Now compare his subsequent actions and apology to your unapologetic and continued attempt to justify your behavior and hijack of this thread.

Do you still want to pursue this?

I'd like to keep this thread on interesting topics. It seems it touches on the following subjects, which I would like to hear more about ("Editing," as held by UHH, and the rule forbidding it without permission have been established; the discussion has moved to broader principles):
1. copyright (can your photos be used without permission and without violating copyright in places other than here)
2. critique "vs."(?) "attaboy" comments
3. principles of good critique other than personal taste.

When did this become your thread? When you hijacked it?

If you would like to dictate the topics for a thread it has to be your own thread, not someone else's.

Your behavior with this thread is the same as your behavior with other people's images.

It is not "hijacking," as I explained, and you ignore. Perhaps you can stop being a thread cop, and let others participate or not?

Repeating, for those who might be interested and whose ideas I'd like to hear.

I have escalated this to the main Admin and I am about to escalate it to the admins of the forum he has included it in...

….. My signature reads … Ask before you edit any of my images /don't mark them up either...… They are all copyrighted

ArtBob has cut out the windows, cropped and added a really ugly large border...... in clear breach....

It is hijacking as I explained. It's also tone-deaf arrogance on your part.

Changing the topic of someone else's thread is the same as changing the appearance of someone else's image. You show no remorse about either one.

Now start your own thread with those themes and see if anyone responds.

And he has been rightfully sanctioned once more. His topic has been deleted.

He seems to be a loose cannon.

What utter nonsense. Your (JoeJoe} ignorance of Art and copyright law propels your small-minded response. I have not added a "Large border," but included but a portion of your shot into my Art. Big difference.

Here is my response to ADMIN:
Admin wrote:
"This is an automated notice.
Your topic "Composite--Holding things together." was deleted.
Action comment: i received a complaint from JoeJoe about the use of his image"

My reply:
"So, now you censor art. Do you know that such use of photos as I practice is PROTECTED under copyright law?
Do you really want this website to be of lesser reputation, dictated to by certain personality types?"

Can you possibly be this thick?

I guess the answer is, "Yes, indeed!"
