Thanks Paul,
I would have Googled it, but I figured you would have the answer, and I was right.

I learned something too from the question as my first response was that plane was this plane, forgetting the 30 year (?) difference between the movie and this past summer.

That Subsonec looks like some fun. I seen the A-4 at the air museum at Floyd Bennett park over in Brooklyn , NY( on Jamaica Bay). I was surprised at how compact they are.

Nice set.

Wow, these are incredible. This may seem like a silly question but I have never attempted to shoot anything this fast so are you panning with the jet or do you take a bunch of shots as it passes through your field of view?

Thank you Resqu2! You have to pan. You can't prefocus to a spot and burst as the plane passes. You'd know their general location, but not exact distance, height of ground, etc, for a sharp photo.

Thank you Kurt, junglejim1949, tcthome, merrytexan! I too have thought the Skyhawk seemed small. But, when you get up beside one close, they're not that small at all. I've been interested to learn the Blue Angels flew this model for years, but I've only seen just a few pictures. Glad you enjoyed.

You are an incredible photographer in general, and you have this "airplanes in flight" thing down to a science. The Thunderbird shot is particularly spectacular, but all are wonderful. Keep them coming.
