Emmett, are you all right? You have an ashen face. As tho some one put there hands around your neck and tried to Oak you to death. If you left us we would pine for yew. In case you need help we can send herb to protect you.

Sorry Emmett, could not resist. Sculpting in clay is one thing, you can always rebuild, but carving IS and you can not back out. You do great expressive work. thanks for sharing.

Thank you, dpullum, I only carve Basswood, cottonwood bark, and catalpa.

have to agree with dpullum there emmett. i was wondering about your avatars, i enjoy your cowboys greately like they are from the beloved sidekick and ol coot colection from hollywood. as for my talents, in a whole family of artists (mostly painters and sculpters) all i got for creativity is photography. just like dad. i also am creative in my humour. As for my hobby oof planning world domination and galactic invasion, the less i say the better. pinky get back to work on my secret underground lair. If only i could get this orbital mind control ray to work. ZZZAP  8-)

Do you do more than just shoot? Are you a sculpture artist? Digital artist? Painter? Writer? Other? Tell us.

*sigh*
I was a musician for a few years. Finally figured out how I got "good".
EVERY day I had to practice the basics for 2 hours. THEN the sets. Or I rusted up fast.
I could paint. The trim, and the outside. Nothing fancy.
My last career was usually being the only screw driver certified IT Tech. Very rare!
I can take very good "technical" photos. Not too creative or artistic.
Even spent a few years shooting straight down shots of electrical components. Medium format.
These days, family and friends. Pick your pose, and I'll shoot it.
Very sharp, fuzzy background. Me only trick is to shoot a few right after you think I took the picture.
Men sag, women breathe, kids hop. Couples kiss.

Better smiles.
FLASH and every body turns real.

Guess I'm pretty creative. I've bought quite some photo gear that my wife doesn't know of...
