I used to do a little drawing, but was never much good at it. I have written an article or two for livestock publications, again not that much talent there either.
I do like to do simple woodwork. I have made wooden animals and alphabet for the grandkids, but that is about it.

I carve pagan fetishes and divinity figures for my altar. I find it much more personal than buying statuary in a store, it contributes greatly to my spiritual life.

Gonna share your cartoons?

For many years I was a quiltmaker and designer, doing all my work the old fashioned way, by hand. The Arthur's Ritus decided to move into my hands along with Carpal Tunnel and ended that portion of my life. Just donated my last 4 boxes of fabric to a local church group. I then moved on to Digital Scrapbooking which allows me the creative freedom I was missing post quiltmaking. I am now into photgraphy which works perfectly with the scrapbooking. I garden, bake and cook. Most of all I enjoy having the time now (retired) and a little nest egg that allows me to go out and see God's wonder in this crazy world of ours. God, Family and Friends... LIFE IS GOOD.........

I actually write my own music (or used to when there was time). Have home recorded some. I play guitar and piano. Trumpet was my instrument in school. I have no chops anymore though.

Cool! My son plays trumpet. Was 10th in wv all state as a sophmore. But he's the best acoustic finger style guitarist I've seen that's 17.
Check this recording out on the link below. We haven't published this one yet so its a preview.

Highly technical guy, skilled with mind, hand, creativity, and capable of saying skillfully "It Alive" (ref: ol Bride of Frankenstein) but then there is the artistic side. I say like the Frankenstein Monster we are legion, made of many. We all communicate, we all take turns, we all like each other, and have learned to tolerate Mr. Procrastinator. Usually, Mr. Hurry up and get it done NOW, takes over when Mr. Procrastinator has taken far too long.

I have been a photographer since mom let me use the 2A Brownie (no film,, must have been digital) at age perhaps 4. Was a chemist mixing oils, food color etc since perhaps 5. Learned from my dad how to make something from scrap, Imagine and then back engineer to reality from bits and parts of stuff off the shelf and from the junk box.

Worked in Med Research, Industrial R&D, then Env Management and Consulting. Retired, took teacher exam, taught 3 years ESE (children with learning problems ,, huh,, all have problems in 9th grade!!!) ,Math/Science. Now do Sub (hate that designation,, No, Not a Sub, I am a Learning Facilitator, I teach you nothing,, I am here to help you to learn,, Every thing is self taught, it is your responsibility to be successful, mine is only to help.) That is my standard don't work hard, work smart speech.

Work smart, not hard is why I use Topaz to do the editing of my photos. Why beat your self to death with PS when Topaz tacks on and does Magic.

Have done free hand pottery, oils and acrylics, plasticlay sculpture, on and on,,, love to do, love to love.

I am not a musician. But as many folk say about art "I know what I like!" And what a change from heavy chords your boy's finger-picking style is. I enjoyed listening to this very much. Thank you and thank him.
