Ah yes Larry. It seems we just get it put up, just to turn around and dismantle and put away for another year.
I’ve always had a couple of deer to put out, but last year they refused to go back up in their corral for another year and just ran off some where. I haven’t seen them on any other yards nearby so they must have left the neighborhood. 😏😏🔨⏱

p.15 Boy! Larry, that looks familiar. Only my boxes are in 3 rooms of the house. Just finished the last tree and hubby cleaning up and re-packing boxes. Pix of the tree another time, another challenge.

You've got that right. Except my husband likes the way our old farmhouse looks all decorated and he now wants to entertain. I like to entertain too, but today was not a good day to remind me - a rotten cold and painful back.

Hi Everyone. Y’all have posted some really great photos depicting the season. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to participate as much lately. My family has been struggling to two members fighting cancer. One doing well, one not. I thank God that our family is close and we are all able to pitch in with food prep, grocery shopping, pharmacy stops and the multitude of Dr visits. Add the holidays to that and my head is spinning! I was able to get a few hours to myself this weekend and headed over to Ocean City inlet to just sit and meditate - the ocean is just the place to bring me peace. It was a pleasant surprise to see that the Trimper family sets up the rides to light up during the holidays even though the pier is closed for the season.
Please know that I am thinking of you all, wishing you a happy and safe holiday season!

p.15 Oh GiGi I am so sorry. Cancer at any time is a frightening word, during the holidays it seems even more tragic. Hang in there. I am certain it also means a lot to your loved ones that there is family willing and able to help. Have a blessed month knowing you are all God's gift to each other. Hugs - PatO
Thanks to all who participated, just visited, commented or not ... "T'is the season" to have life disrupted by the fun, contemplative, hectic schedules, planned and unplanned events. "T'is the season" my eldest grandson and I have a "together day". It has taken a variety of forms through the years but always concludes with the Portland Symphony's production "The Magic of Christmas" and horse wagon rides through the heart of Portland. This will be our 9th or 10th year. Model train exhibit is always a highlight, but that is slowly being replaced by Christmas shopping for his family. Lunch, walking through Portland - cameras in hand - then the symphony and wagon rides. Pick up a pizza on the way home and he spends the night. I asked him how long he wanted to do this and should we do something different - "Grammie will will do this till you die. And when you can't walk I will push you in a wheelchair. And if I'm married before then, my wife and I will bring you." (He is 14 1/2) He reminds me that in 4 years, HE will be the driver! Definitely "T'is the Season"...for making memories. Last year...
We sit in the same seats every year.

p.14 Well that bottom sparrow looks like one angry little bird. You got "the stare", Fred Ann!
, Pat,Part of the fun in watching the birds around our feeder area is to note the different personalities or behaviours and the bird characters that their behaviour might suggest. This has been a fun challenge Pat, Thank you for hosting
