It's called knowledge.

It comes from reading books and paying attention.

I, for one, know, trust and believe everything those data mining manipulators at Google say.
The DNC has more credibility.

Who are the Reid?. What was the Lone Ranger's name. The person who play the Lone Ranger was Clay Moore. If the name is Reid, why after all those years are we just finding out the Lone Ranger's name. More fake news, back to 1984.

It's Clayton Moore who played him in the TV series. Before that the Lone Ranger was on the radio, in movie serials in the '30s, and feature films. The backstory had been around before the TV series, that the Lone Ranger was John Reid, one of a group of Texas Rangers who were killed, with only Reid escaping to become the Lone Ranger. You could have Googled all this.

The characters last name was Reid.

The actors last name was Moore.

And Britt Reid was his descendant, big city newspaper publisher ... and the Green Hornet.

Everything you say is true and he almost died after being shot by the gang who wiped out his buddies. He was nursed back to health by Tonto, his faithful Indian companion. Rumor has it that he retired after being sent to prison for beating up and severely injuring Tonto, after he found out what Kemo Sabe meant.

Tonto was Jay Silverheels on TV...not sure who played him on radio. Anyone know without Google?
I believe Jay was also the actor who had a tear come down his cheek in a PSA about the environment.

One slight note: The Green Hornet is a nephew of, but not descendant of, the L. Ranger. I am a nephew of my uncle, but a descendant of my parents and grandparents.

Iron Eyes Cody was the Native American in the PSA re: pollution that had a tear in his eye. Met him in the 1970's, very humble and a great actor.

You reminded me. The first time I saw Iron Eyes Cody When I was, maybe, in the third grade. He gave a speech and they were selling homemade trinkets to the school kids. Of course I had no money so I couldn't buy any. Iron Eyes Cody (born Espera Oscar de Corti, April 3, 1904 – January 4, 1999) was an Italian-American actor. He portrayed Native Americans in Hollywood films, famously as Chief Iron Eyes in Bob Hope's The Paleface (1948). He also played a Native American shedding a tear about litter in one of the country's most well-known television public service announcements, "Keep America Beautiful". Living in Hollywood, he began to insist, even in his private life, that he was Native American, over time claiming membership in several different tribes. In 1996, Cody's half-sister said that he was of Italianancestry, but he denied it.

Thank you for that information. I meant Iron Eyes Cody while shooting publicity pictures for some stunt actors portraying Indians while practicing falls from horses.
